If you're applying to our masters of Accountancy programs here, there are two tracks. There's just a general track that we call the masters of professional accountancy. And we also have a master's in taxation. All of our courses at the Masters level are targeted at improving your skills and your knowledge in certain areas to help you do better on the CPA exam. We also have a course that we offer in the final semester of most students masters here where all they're doing is studying for the CPA exam and taking the various parts of that exam in tandem.

With there being an increased focus on data analytics in the business world, Mississippi State has offered a data analytics minor now. They focus on different statistical analysis classes and include different data analytics classes that you can include in your master's studies.

One of the things that we're really proud of is that we were recently ranked number 10 in the cch public accounting report. After adjusting for faculty size, what that means is that you can expect a certain quality from the program here, and that employers can expect a certain quality from our output of students here. And that's a big draw to our master's programs.

Something that Mississippi State stands out in is that we have 100% job placement right in the master's program. From junior year I had an internship and I accepted a full time job at the end of my senior year. I'm able to focus fully on my school, focus on the CPA and not have to worry about interviews in the middle of my master's program.
