MBA Venture Pathway

The MBA Venture Pathway (MVP) program is a competitive, cohort program, designed to engage STEM students in MBA prerequisite coursework while they pursue their undergraduate goals. Once MVP students complete their STEM undergraduate degrees, they can apply to the Master of Business Administration program at MSU. MVPs receive priority interview invitations, as well as specialized coursework to prepare them for transitioning into the College of Business, even though that is not their undergraduate route. Students with STEM undergraduate degrees paired with MBA degrees can pursue careers in technical or administrative fields, and they are prepared to solve problems and work with people in countless industries.

The MBA Venture Pathway (MVP) program offers exceptional incoming freshmen pursuing majors outside the College of Business a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a cutting-edge educational experience that provides an enhanced path to a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree. The purpose of MVP is to provide motivated, high-achieving students the knowledge needed to pursue an innovative career coupled with a basic business knowledge.

For those students with a business idea, MVP students can also participate in the Center for Entrepreneurship and Outreach's VentureCatalyst™ Program, a comprehensive, co-curricular program for students and faculty interested in starting a successful, investor-backed company.
